Crested Butte State of Mind
Crested Butte State of Mind (http://www.cbstateofmind.org) is an organization that is committed to making sure their residents have access to mental health care by eliminating the barriers of cost, navigating the system, and connecting to the right service.
CB State of Mind scholarships pay for sessions with a partnering therapist for people who are uninsured or under-insured. The organization provided over 340 free counseling sessions in its first year to people that could not afford counseling. They also created a stigma reduction campaign that makes it ‘ok’ to talk about not being ‘ok’.
Crested Butte State of Mind is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization that uses donations from the community to provide mental health therapy scholarships to people in need, and to people who have been impacted by the pandemic.
