We are here for the return of the bandana print! In fact we are ALL in with several styles and colors of Hi Love’s bags in this timeless print as part of our Western Collection.  “Over the past few seasons, Western wear has been the fashion theme on everyone’s shopping list. What was once a solely regional style became a trending statement...” Kaitlyn Yarborough for Southern Living Magazine.   A huge part of the bandana print’s popularity is its ability to remain neutral while adding texture and color to any outfit!

It’s especially hot this year for country concert goers, nights out in Nashville and Austin, and/or just a fun pop of print to heighten any summer outfit! “Given the ongoing popularity of all things Western inspired in fashion, the rise of the bandana-print trend shouldn't come as a surprise. Straightforward bandanas were popular last summer—specifically worn around the neck or around the waist as a belt—but now, the look is no longer just a micro-trend. It's officially a major spring and summer 2026 trend,” Allyson Payer for MSN. While the bandana print is hot and trending now, they've been a fashionable staple for centuries and we believe it's here to stay!

The History Of The Bandana

Most people think of the American Cowboy when you think of a bandana but they actually originated in a different country and According to the Smithsonian, Indian Textile makers there employed a millennium-old tie-dyeing technique called bandhani to create colorful silk and cotton kerchiefs covered in lively patterns. After the Dutch and English East India companies imported these kerchiefs to England, snuff-takers embraced them to make their habit more discreet, and the name was anglicized to “bandana.”

It wasn’t until the late 20th century that the bandana entered pop culture thanks to Rock Icons like Jim Morrison and Bruce Springsteen wearing them on stage. And in the 90s the bandana entered the rap world being worn by Tupac Shakur, a prominent rap artist at the time.
